It's a GIRL!!

Well, our little 'bun in the oven' is certainly growing and appears to be right on track. After our 20 week sonogram in January we now know that our baby is a little GIRL! She's already beautiful and we can't wait to meet her. I wish I could watch her on a daily basis inside my belly, especially after watching her move around during our 20 week sonogram. We were able to see more than I have expected.

January 11, 2013 - 20 weeks & 3 days

I am 28 weeks today, with only 12 more weeks left to go. I am offically in my 3rd trimester. In the beginning I felt like I was going to be pregnant FOREVER and she was never going to get here but now I'm wondering where the time went. I can't wait to meet baby Drake but I have so much to do before she gets here so hopefully she'll keep baking for now. This afternoon Carey and I get to go in for our 3D/4D sonogram so I'm excited to see our sweet baby and watch her move. It is so amazing to watch one of God's beautiful creations grow inside of me. We are truly blessed and can't wait to meet our baby girl in May.

Love, Marriage, then BABY...

It's official, Carey and I are expecting our first baby at the end of May. My due date is May 28, 2013 to be exact. I am officially at the halfway mark - 20 weeks pregnant and 20 weeks to go! Our baby weighs about 10.5 ounces now. Baby Drake is also around 6.5 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel - the length of a banana. This week is a very exciting and fun week for us because we get to find out on Friday if baby Drake is a girl or boy.

Carey and I are very excited, anxious and nervous, as most parents are when expecting their first baby. As my belly continues to grow, it becomes more realistic that it will not just be the two of us anymore, come May. It is so cool and kind of weird at the same time, when I feel baby Drake kicking in my belly. The baby is not big enough yet for anyone to actually see baby Drake kicking but I can definiately feel the baby kicking.  We continue to pray that our baby is and will be healthy upon arrival.

My First Deer

Wednesday, November 28, 2012 was opening day for riffle season in Kansas so Carey and I went hunting over the weekend. Saturday morning was extremely foggy so we didn't see much other than one small 8 point and a few does. We decided that we would go to a different spot Saturday night. It was extremely WAY too hot to be hunting and I had kept on several layers of clothes so I wouldn't be cold when the sun went down so I was sweating and ready to call it a night very early into our hunt. Needless to say, we continued to sit and wait and it was a good thing we did because after a little excitment (thanks to a few road hunters), I was able to kill my first buck on Saturday, December 1, 2012 with my husband, Carey. Unfortuantely a few of the antlers were broken off but the taxidermist will be able to fix his antlers so that I'll have a nice mount to show off my first buck. Happy hunting to all your hunters out there.

Buck Fever

As you all know, Carey is an avid hunter. In fact, he eats, sleeps, breaths hunting!! Therefore, he LIVES for this time of year and soaks up every moment that he can!! On Saturday, September 22, 2012 Carey was ecstatic when he killed his biggest buck ever at our new land in NW Kansas during blackpowder season. I wish I could have been there to share that special moment with him when he killed his monster mule deer. Needless to say, he was super pumped to take home his trophy and tell me all about his exciting hunt that Saturday morning. Now, we're gearing up for MY big hunt during Kansas rifle season. Opening day is Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Stay tuned for more details and happy hunting to all you hunters out there.

Stella & Dot

To say I love Stella & Dot jewelry is an understatement. It's fun, fashionable and affordable. If you host a trunk show you can earn FREE jewelry! What's better than hosting a party with friends & cocktails in order to earn free jewelry? Plus, each piece of jewelry is packaged individually in gift ready boxes. Here are a few of my favorites.

BAMBOLEO NECKLACE
*As Seen in InStyle

This is my favorite statement necklace. I always get lots of compliments on this beautiful piece of jewelry from men and women.

ON THE MARK NECKLACE (gold)

I love this delicate necklace and I also get lots of compliments on it every time I wear it. It's a great piece to wear by itself or layer with other necklaces.

BARDOT SPIRAL
BANGLE (silver)

SPARKLY BARDOT SPIRAL BANGLE

I have this bangle in gold and silver. I personally wear the silver more but they are both great pieces because (1) they actually fit my wrist and (2) they don't clank when you're typing at the computer. The Sparkly Bardot Spiral Bangle is on my wish list. ; )

HARLOW BANGLE

VINTAGE TWIST
BRACELET (gold)
The Vintage Twist Bracelet is great for two reasons (1) it's versatility and (2) it comes sized so it actually fits my wrist.

The Harlow Bangle is great because of it's versatility.

TRIBUTE BRACELET
*As Seen in ELLE magazine

The rose gold pave bar anchors on a delicate band of faceted hematite beads, add subtle sparkle to any layered wrist. This delicate bracelet is beautiful worn by itself or layered. The Tribute Bracelet has to be my favorite bracelet because it was designed for Breast Cancer Awareness.

CHANTILLY LACE
CUFF

CHANTILLY LACE
CHANDELIER EARRINGS

I love anything lace so these beauties are definiately a staple in my wardrobe and are worn often.

PARADISE STUDS

I absolutely adore these studs!
They go great everything!

SERENITY STONE DROPS (Jade)

I love these earrings! They definitely make a statement and I love the color green so I knew I had to have these jewels. However, I will warn you that they are heavier than I had originally thought so be careful if you have saggy lobes.

I am super excited for the ALICE by Temperley for Stella & Dot to be revealed in October! Here is a little sneak peak video! Enjoy!

One of my oldest friends/favorite people, Valerie (Webb) Dittner (or Va-Va-Vanilla, as I refer to her) recently launched a fashion blog. I love going to her for fashion advice because she is always dressed so chic and classy! Valerie is also a super funny gal and loyal friend that I miss dearly! I hope you all enjoy Valerie's fashion blog as much as me!

Game Day

Saturday, September 1, 2012 was the season opener for Oklahoma State football and I think all Cowboy fans were happy to add another "W" to the books! OSU dominated Savannah State 84-0.
